Meet Dr. Margaret Dorfman
Dr. Maggie Lorenzetti Dorfman is a clinical psychologist and the founder of Raspberry Health, a boutique practice offering thoughtful, evidence-based therapy for adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship stress. She is licensed in New York State and offers both virtual and in-person appointments in New York City.
Dr. Dorfman earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at The Mount Sinai Hospital’s Department of Neurology. Her advanced training spans cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and CBT-I (the gold standard treatment for many sleep concerns), along with a certificate in Nutrition Science from Stanford University. Her integrative, whole-person approach draws on the science of mind–body health to support lasting emotional resilience.
In therapy, Dr. Dorfman works collaboratively with patients to understand what’s keeping them stuck—and how to move forward with more clarity, connection, and self-trust. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, struggling through a major life shift, or finding it difficult to access a sense of meaning or joy, her care is grounded in warmth, insight, and strategies that meet you where you are.
She also brings deep expertise in cognitive and neurologic conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease, mild cognitive impairment, and multiple sclerosis. For patients navigating these challenges or concerned about memory or focus, she offers specialized support rooted in both clinical training and the latest research.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Dorfman holds a master’s in Experimental Psychology and has published work in academic journals in the field of psychoneuroimmunology, examining the links between sleep, stress, inflammation, and emotional well-being. This science-informed lens supports her mission: to help patients feel more grounded, clear, and connected—to themselves and the people around them.
If you’re looking for a therapy space that’s both emotionally attuned and clinically grounded, Dr. Dorfman welcomes you to reach out and explore whether care at Raspberry Health feels like the right fit.
